Not often do I get to see my home country from the sky. I flew from Paris to Stockholm last week and I got to see some cool sights of the Netherlands. I took a picture of Amsterdam. You can also clearly see Purmerend just northeast of Amsterdam, Haarlem in the west, the IJmuiden harbor in the west, and even Texel at the top right of the picture.

I was in Oslo this week and they have funny pedestrian lights there. I guess you are probably fined twice if you cross a red light.

Instead of making new year’s resolutions I like to look back at the year gone by and count my blessings. I’ve made a habit of keeping my photo collection properly organized, and at the end of each year I browse my photo harddisk. This is an exercise I can recommend to anyone. I think in these modern and fast times we live in nowadays, we sometimes take too little time to appreciate the events that happen in our lives. (continue reading…)
